March Comes In Like A Lion

I'm sitting here drinking a mug of Red Miso, warming my bones from this chilly March morn. Occasional snowflakes slowly fall from a grey sky. Rumour has it that we're going to get snow tonight, so I headed outside and picked a bouquet of mini daffodils.

I listed the necklace that I made with the beet dyed beads that I posted about yesterday. It can be found here. I would like to dye some of the beads blue and have been reading up on it. I don't really want to buy indigo, but I may if I can't find another alternative; preferably something that I already have on hand.

Well, I hope we wake up to a bit of snow in the south land.
Enjoy your weekend.
Until next time.....

About That Lion

This is the only lion we saw around here today. The unseasonably warm weather continues. Bulbs are blooming. Flowering trees are blooming or budding. Spring storms popped up yesterday and are predicted for tomorrow. And after all of the rain, frogs started singing.  But on this first day of March, all is calm and quiet and sunny. Very sunny. And warm. Althea is in need of a pair of sunglasses. Must check Etsy.
I got some onion sets in the ground before the rain yesterday. Today I started broccoli, onions, parsley and garlic chives in flats. I'll post some pictures tomorrow, when it's raining again.
Hope you too are enjoying an early spring.

March Comes in Like a Lion

You know that old saying....."March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb". Trying to decide if today's weather is lion worthy. It's cold, but not that cold. It's gray looking out there, but not raining or snowing. There's no wind. They're calling for snow tomorrow. This weekend, they're predicting 50's-60's. I don't know. Is this lion-like? Maybe the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz?

What's it like where you live today? Has March come in like a lion? Or is he sitting on the fence, scratching his head, in your neck of the woods?
Until next time.....

March Comes In Like A Lion

Way to go March! I know that some of you are so sick of snow, but I'm am proud and excited to say that we got our second snow of the season last night. It may only be two inches, but it's two inches more than we had yesterday morning. Life is good!
Until next time.....
