And Today

It's a beauty of a day. Sunny. Warm. Productive. I started all of our seeds. Weeded the iris bed. Sat and stared at the Bradford Pears. They are in full bloom and are just gorgeous. Don't you agree?

Yesterday

They were calling for a few flurries in the area yesterday. They never mentioned that it would start snowing so hard that you couldn't see 25 feet in front of you. It was nice while it lasted, but quickly melted. Gotta love the springtime in the southland.

A Little Green Goes A Long Way

Solomon seal

Lilac bud

Daffodils

Onion sets

More daffodils

Daylilies

Garlic chives and chives

Isn't it amazing how far a little green goes this time of year? I get so excited when I see patches of green. Spring is springing here in TN; even though they're predicting teens and snow flurries later this week.

The Greening Of Spring

It's amazing how green really shines this time of year. Slowly but surely, the landscape is turning. Yesterday, I discovered the first daffodils in bloom. And our garlic. For a while there, I thought we lost all of it. The temps were below zero and I wasn't sure that the garlic would make it. But 2 out of 3 varieties are growing strong. They don't look as good as they usually do this time of year, but I'll take it.

Pretty soon everything will be green and growing. But for now I'll sit back and enjoy the greening of Spring.
Until next time.....
